Personalized Ground School for Serious Pilots
So...What is Ground Instruction?
Short version? I teach the classroom portion of flight training. Certified flight instructors (CFIs) are the ones up in the air with you, I’m the one on the ground helping you make sense of it all before you even touch the controls. I’m a certified Advanced and Instrument Ground Instructor, which means I work with all types of pilots:
private, commercial, instrument, CFI, rusty, student, you name it. If you need to understand the classroom side of aviation, that’s where I come in.
What do I actually do? I help people get ready for their written exams, oral exams, and just have a deeper understanding of what they’re learning. Aerodynamics, weather, regs, systems, flight planning, we cover it all.What I don’t do is teach in the aircraft. That’s your CFIs job. But what I do is give you more time, more
patience, and more flexibility than most flight schools ever can.
What makes me different? I actually have time for you. I get to know my students on a deeper level; not just how they learn, but how they process stuff, how they’re feeling, what their goals are. And that kind of connection? It makes learning stick. I’ve had students go from completely lost to confidently explaining concepts they couldn’t touch before. That’s the best part of this job, hands down.
My lessons aren’t some monotonous PowerPoint nonsense. We talk. We dig into the weird sidebars that actually help you get it. I adapt to how you learn, not the other way around. And if you’re someone who doesn’t learn “normally”? Even better. I got you.
I teach online and in person (flexible schedule), I offer free resources, and I make sure every student walks away knowing more than they walked in with. That’s the goal.
